A video is circulating on social media that purports to show our Board member Jörg Rensmann in Berlin on April 9, 2024. However, the video does not show Jörg Rensmann, and our Board member was not in Berlin on April 9. We see the video as a campaign to intimidate us and hinder our work against antisemitism. The anti-Semitic hate mail and threats against Jörg Rensmann and our association frighten us and we will take legal action against them.

We are very happy about the great wave of solidarity for our board member Jörg Rensmann and for our association. The Tagesspiegel has reported (link here). In the meantime, Serhat Sisik has also signed a cease-and-desist declaration with a penalty clause.
Antisemitic incitement and threats have increased dramatically since October 7, affecting Jews in particular, but also other people who speak out in solidarity with Israel. As a society, we must not allow this to remain the new normal.
