14.2.2019, Berlin: MFFB Roundtable with Dr. Einat Wilf, leading Israeli political analyst and Adi Schwartz, researcher and journalist.
Our Guests addresed, amongst other things, the following questions: Is United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) fit for purpose and deserving of special status within UN agencies? Is there a case of applying the UNRWA model to more recent refugee cases, such as Syrian refugees in Europe, if it is deemed to still be viable? Does UNRWA perpetuate the fundamental nature of the conflict rather than alleviate it? Dr. Wilf and mister Schwartz discuss these questions in their new book, "The War for Return", released in Hebrew in 2018. An English translation is coming soon.
